You have made a very valid point & if you can follow up with
some background checks I wont be surprised what you said is right
on the button.
Another point which makes sense is someone who had said before you:
"real gangsters talk abt brotherhood, & run big triad etc, not
cheat bus companies of their bus fares lar". I would qualify it
further to say that the real gangsters, if they see this kind of
behaviour, would feel disgraced & it's possible that they might
beat up this fake gangster because the real ones have some codes of
honour to maintain.
